Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use squatperch.com or buy a Perch from Squat Perch ("we", "us"), 215 Strathearn Ave, Richmond Hill, Ontario L4B 3C3, Canada. By placing an order, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Our products

We sell Perch, Perch+, Perch Platform and Perch Platform+, squat platforms that replace a toilet seat. Every model fits elongated toilets with seat bolts 5.5 in (140 mm) apart. The legs on the + models fit toilets with a rim 15–17 in (380–430 mm) from the floor. Please use the fit check before you order.

The images on this site are illustrations. The Perch you receive may differ slightly in colour and finish.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars or Canadian dollars, as shown on the site and at checkout, and include shipping to the US and Canada. Any taxes that apply are shown at checkout before you pay. You pay the full price when you order, through Stripe's secure checkout. Your bank may charge its own currency conversion or foreign transaction fees.

3. Your order

Your order is confirmed when your payment goes through and we email you a receipt. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a price on the site was wrong, we can't ship to your address, or we suspect fraud. If we do, we'll refund everything you paid.

4. Shipping

We ship to the United States and Canada. Shipping can take 6–12 weeks from the day you order. We'll email you tracking when your order ships. If it's going to take longer, we'll tell you, and you can cancel for a full refund. Your Perch becomes yours, and your responsibility, once it's delivered.

5. Cancelling an order

You can cancel any time before your order ships, and we'll refund everything you paid. Email support@squatperch.com with the name and email on your order.

6. Returns

You can return an unused Perch in its original box within 30 days of delivery. Contact us first and we'll tell you where to send it. Once we receive it, we'll refund the price you paid to your original payment method.

7. Damaged or faulty parts

If your Perch arrives damaged or a part is faulty, contact us with a photo and we'll replace it free. This doesn't cover damage from misuse, accidents, or fitting Perch to a toilet it isn't made for.

8. Using Perch safely

• Perch is made for squatting by people who can squat and stand up on their own. It is not a mobility aid.
• Install and use it as the instructions describe, and don't exceed the weight rating printed on the box.
• Step up slowly at first, with a hand on something solid.
• On the + models, set both legs so the feet sit on a dry, level floor.
• Check that the seat bolts are tight once a month.

9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded. Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows:

• we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses;
• we aren't responsible for damage caused by fitting Perch to a toilet it doesn't fit, or by using it against the instructions; and
• our total responsibility for any claim about a product is limited to the price you paid for it.

10. This website

The text, images, the Perch name and the Perch logo on this site belong to us. Please don't copy them for commercial use without our permission. We may update product details on the site from time to time; the details shown when you ordered apply to your order.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version posted here when you place an order applies to that order.
